Company Background: Freymond Lumber operates a sawmill in Bancroft, Ontario producing high quality lumber from wood harvested in a responsible manner from local forests. We have been manufacturing both hardwood and softwood lumber since 1946. We sell truckload quantities of green, graded lumber, cants and ties. Our wood supply is sourced from our own harvesting operations on both Crown Forests and private woodlots and purchased from local logging contractors and landowners.
Position Summary: Freymond Lumber is seeking an experienced ltruck driver to join our team. Driver will be responsible for:
Safe operation of truck and trailer both on and off road
Preforming preventative maintenance
Completion of all log books, time sheets, bill of ladings
Proper inspection of load securement and loads. Ensuring that all loads are not over capacity and secured properly
Maneuverability of truck and or truck and trailer in tight spots and in poor weather conditions
Excellent customer service in cases of delivering retail lumber or firewood
Perform other duties to support the successful operation of Freymond Lumber
Requirements:
AZ Drivers' Licence with clean driver's abstract required
Minimum five (5) years hauling with proven experience
Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends as required
Strong knowledge of regulations and log books
Ability to adapt and be flexible
Ability to operate under pressure and in severe weather conditions
Must be mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot in field

You will drive a tandem dump truck, truck and pup or truck and transfer to transport and dump loose materials, such as sand, gravel, crushed rock or asphalt paving materials. Haul and deliver materials to and from specified vendors and job sites including loading and unloading in designated areas.
