*Responsibilities and Duties*
Setting up, disconnecting and operating plasmapheresis machine (equipment preparation and proper waste management of contaminated disposables) and performing venipunctures.
* Calibrating equipment if necessary.
* Monitoring donors throughout the procedure and reacting appropriately to adverse reactions or equipment errors.
* Ensuring that donors are safe and comfortable.
* Accurately documenting the plasmapheresis procedure as directed by the procedures.
* Disinfecting and cleaning plasmapheresis machines and donor beds as necessary between donors.
* Confirming that all sample tubes and plasma collection bottles are labeled properly.
* Flexibility to work in other modules of the donation process (Reception and Processing).
