Shift Supervisors work with restaurant management to provide the direction and training required on every shift to exceed our customer's expectations. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the execution of daily operations activities
The following provides an overview of the basic responsibilities of a Shift Supervisor:
You will oversee and manage a multi-million-dollar operation, provide great customer service and provide leadership in a team-oriented atmosphere.
You must be available to work all shifts - Opens, Midday and Closing Shifts.
General Responsibilities:
- Train, monitor and reinforce food safety procedures to team members.
- Act as Cash Manager as needed, including setting up cash register(s) at open and verifying cash at close.
- Perform walk-throughs to ensure the restaurant is ready to open/close and/or rush-ready.
- Work with the Restaurant Management team to train, develop and communicate with team members in a way that maximizes retention.
- Supervise, coordinate and delegate the execution of operations tasks and ensure compliance with all Company policies.
- Work with the Restaurant Management team to ensure quality, production and service standards are met and to create a safe, efficient and professional environment for customers and other employees.
- Assist the Restaurant Management team in maintaining proper coverage via team member schedules to ensure that the restaurant attains/exceeds all customer service standards.
- You will partner with other Restaurant Management to identify specific opportunities for optimizing efficiencies and maximizing the profitability of the restaurant.
- Follow up and ensure resolution of guest-related issues as needed.

**General Description:**
As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a critical leadership role within our Collections business unit, overseeing daily operations and ensuring the safe and efficient performance of our drivers. Your responsibilities will include conducting driver observations, leading monthly safety meetings, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
You will be responsible for ensuring that safety, compliance, customer service, growth, sales, and financial targets are consistently met. Strong leadership, ethical decision-making, and professionalism are essential to success in this role.
**As an Operations Supervisor with us, the minimum responsibilities are:**
**Operating Hours: Monday-Friday from 3AM to 12:30PM**
+ Oversee the daily operations of multiple collection routes.
+ Review daily route sheets to assess financial (P&L) and operational performance.
+ Ensure drivers complete daily safety and maintenance inspections for all company vehicles and equipment.
+ Collaborate with dispatchers to ensure timely deliveries, exchanges, and equipment repairs.
+ Plan and monitor employee schedules and route assignments, maintaining communication throughout the day until all routes are completed.
+ Participate in the recruitment process, including interviewing, selecting, and training new employees.
+ Implement performance management processes, including progressive discipline as necessary.
+ Conduct thorough incident investigations, including scene management, first incident reporting, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.
+ Manage the performance of employees through the progressive discipline process.
+ Maintain Environmental Health and Safety programs including training, meetings and required reporting of relevant EH&S issues.
+ Conducts incident investigations including scene management, first incident report and final analysis with root cause and preventative measures.
+ Ensure full compliance with company safety policies, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and other applicable industry guidelines.
**What We Need From You as an Operations Supervisor:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.
+ Possession of or willingness to obtain a valid DZ driver's license (or higher) and compliance with all DOT regulations.
+ Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and MTO regulations.
+ Experience operating refuse collection equipment is an asset.
+ Strong data entry and analytical skills.
+ A SAFETY-FIRST mindset with a proactive approach to workplace safety.
+ Self-motivated with a strong ability to take initiative.
+ Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements
