**In your role, you will**
- Interpret plans, specifications and technical documentation for different industrial equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. (Lathe, milling machine, CNC machine, sheet metal equipment, heat treatment, etc.)
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on various equipment using specialized tools.
- Participate in the design, manufacturing and optimization of equipment.
- Carry out work, both at height (nacelle, lifting platform) and in enclosed spaces.
- Use electric, pneumatic or manual tools, depending on the operations to be carried out.
- Use measuring instruments, such as micrometer, vernier, caliper, etc.

- You have a DEC in Industrial Maintenance Technology or DEC in Mechanical Engineering.
- You have maintenance experience on production machines (an asset).
- You have experience in maintaining hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic machines (an asset).
- You have to be comfortable working independently and demonstrate initiative.
- You have very good communication skills.
- You have good judgment and work well in a multidisciplinary team.
- You need to be flexible, there is possibility of working varied hours over 7 days, 24/24 hours, according to the collective agreement. (Day OR Evening OR Night)

Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a qualified Mechanical Equipment & Piping Coordinator to join our mining team, based out of Leroy, SK . The Mechanical Equipment & Piping Coordinator will be responsible for supervising and overseeing field construction activities from contractors such as install of stick-built piping, NDE and pressure testing, installation of chutes, process / HVAC ducts, installation of process mining mechanical equipment, installation of field erected tanks and have the opportunity to work on the Hatch Bantrel Joint Venture (HBJV) to execute engineering and construction on the BHP Jansen Potash Mine Project in Saskatchewan. After successfully completing the Definition Phase Study for the project, the HBJV is currently carrying out the Detailed Engineering Phase for the Processing, Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) and Mining Areas of the 4.5 Mtpa Stage 1 Potash Mine. With a published TIC of US $5.3-5.7 Billion this will represent one of the largest projects and private investments in Canada. The HBJV will use a hybrid of best-in-class new developing technologies and systems as well as the proven HBJV suite of tools to execute this exciting project. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures the effective implementation of Jansen Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) processes, plans, procedures and ensures alignment with the project goals.
- Embraces and actively participates in the HSE Field Leadership program.
- Responsible for piping erection and mechanical equipment install operations. Supervises and coordinates contractors’ operations. Deals directly with contractors in the field. Monitors and ensures assigned construction contractor’s activities and performance follows expectations (i.e. within schedule and budget, in compliance with HSE requirements). Performs regular field inspections.
- Validates the sequence of activities and level of effort, and provide support to the area manager to complete the execution analysis,
- Operates day-to-day ensuring that activities are prioritized in line with broader objectives.
- Proactively identifies field changes, in collaboration with Project Construction Coordinators and Field Engineering representatives. Ensure directives are clear, concise, and communicated timely. Ensure that all stakeholders involved completely understand what is relevant. Ensure no work undertaken before management review and approve.
- Liaise and coordinate with HBJV Field Engineering, Site Material Management, Contracts, Project Controls, Quality, HSE, Common Services and Commissioning (i.e., actively supports Field Engineering team in the resolution of technical queries and Quality team with NCR resolutions).
- Contribute to site-wide traffic management planning, management of temporary infrastructure.
- Manages the review, monitoring, and communication of changes for SIMOPs (simultaneous operations).
- Contributing to constructability reviews to ensure upcoming scopes are thoroughly planned and do not include fatal flaws.
- Works closely with other superintendents within the surface process IPT and will be required to backfill for them during shift and when on leave.
- Manages his time effectively and adhering to deadlines.
- Strong participation in the Jansen Risk Program as a Risk Owner or Control Owner.
- Validates reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, job manpower forecasts, and provide input related to cost forecasts.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance on plant infrastructure and downstream extrusion machinery, including pullers, cutters, cooling systems, conveyors, and winding/packaging equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues such as misalignments, bearing failures, gear wear, drive chain and belt issues, and hydraulic/pneumatic leaks.
- Maintain and service pumps, valves, gearboxes, rollers, and other rotating/mechanical assemblies critical to continuous operation.
- Conduct mechanical adjustments and precision alignments to ensure consistent product quality and minimal downtime.
- Inspect and replace wear parts (seals, bearings, bushings, belts, blades, rollers) according to schedules and equipment condition.
- Support installation and commissioning of new downstream equipment, ensuring proper alignment, anchoring, and integration into existing lines.
- Assist with equipment modifications and upgrades to improve performance, efficiency, and safety.
- Interpret basic diagrams, schematic drawings, and service manuals to determine work procedures.
- Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment.
- Drive continuous improvement through reliability efforts and root cause failure analysis.
- Carryout oral/printed work request and apply corrective measures in a timely fashion.
- Have intermediate grasp of related mechanical requirements and apply corrective measures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, downtime events, and spare parts usage in the CMMS system.
- Fulfill mechanical requirements of work orders and trouble shooting and repairs c/w requesting assistance where necessary.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Communicate daily repair activity with Supervisors and with other Departments.
- Adhere to safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and plant maintenance standards.
Qualifications
- Background in mechanical systems (millwrighting, heavy-duty equipment repair, HVAC, or related fields) formal trade certification is an asset but not required.
- Hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or extrusion environment.
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, belts, and gear systems.
- Ability to read mechanical diagrams and equipment manuals.
- Skilled with basic fabrication, welding, rigging, and use of precision measuring tools.
- Experience maintaining HVAC, compressed air, or industrial cooling systems is an advantage.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or within a team.
- Willingness to adapt and learn new systems in a fast-paced production environment.
- Familiarity with downstream extrusion is considered an asset.

Education and Experience

**Major Responsibilities:**
+ Design of Plumbing, Fire Protection and HVAC systems;
+ Review HVAC calculations prepared by junior staff and prepare design HVAC design concepts and layouts. Assist in preparing markups and design instructions for modelling/drafting by technicians and junior staff.

The successful hire will collaborate with large teams on Mechanical HVAC during all phases of high profile projects.
