Job Description

Job Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of polyiso manufacturing operations including raw material handling (e.g., polyols, isocyanates, blowing agents), foam production, lamination, cutting, and packaging.
Direct production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet demands while minimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
Monitor and optimize key process parameters (e.g., reaction rates, foam density, curing times) to ensure consistent polyiso product performance and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, UL).
Lead a team of supervisors, operators, and maintenance staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
Develop and manage the plantu2019s operating budget, including labor, materials, and capital expenditures, while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure equipment reliability through preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting, and coordination with maintenance teams for repairs and upgrades.
Implement and sustain continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve yield in polyiso production.
Maintain compliance with Canadian occupational health and safety regulations (e.g., OHSA), Environmental Protection Act standards, and other provincial requirements, including safe handling of chemicals (e.g., pentane, HFOs) and waste management.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address product defects, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Serve as the primary point of contact for plant-level decision-making in Brampton, including vendor negotiations, workforce management, and emergency response planning.
Coordinate with R&D and engineering teams to support new product development, process trials, and equipment modifications.
Prepare and present performance reports (e.g., production metrics, downtime analysis, safety incidents) to senior leadership.
Travel outside of Canada as required to attend meetings, visit other facilities, or collaborate with global teams on operational or strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Bacheloru2019s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, polyiso or similar foam insulation production (e.g., XPS, EPS, PUR) would be beneficial.
Proven track record in plant management or operations leadership, including budgeting, staffing, and process optimization.
Strong knowledge of polyiso manufacturing processes, including chemical reactions, blowing agents (e.g., pentane, HFOs), and continuous lamination systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage conflict, and drive performance in a fast-paced production setting.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
Proficiency in production management software (e.g., ERP systems, MES) and data analysis tools.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and interact with senior management.
In-depth understanding of Ontariou2019s Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Environmental Protection Act, and fire safety regulations related to chemical handling and foam production.

Your Opportunity
We are currently seeking Senior Environmental Scientists/Engineers to join our Environmental Services team in Saskatchewan. Your role will be to work as a key member of our Prairies Environmental Services team, in a broad range of responsibilities relating to Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, soil and groundwater remediation programs, environmental spill response, and hydrogeological investigations. The successful candidate will work within our Site Investigation, Remediation & Response practice area, in project teams across various sectors. We are seeking driven, exceptionally talented and enthusiastic individuals capable of working independently with a keen interest in the environmental field looking to advance their career in a globally progressive consulting firm. The position is based out of our Saskatoon or Regina office.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage a variety of projects, including client and regulator communications, deadline tracking, budget tracking
- Provide technical direction to field teams for the projects you are managing
- Provide mentorship and safety leadership to junior staff
- Guide and/or carry out data management, analysis and interpretation, report preparation, proposal preparation, and other general tasks
- Review technical reports
- Evening and weekend work may be required
- Travel to remote communities via air or road may be required periodically
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Highly organized and self-motivated

- Demonstrate knowledge of applicable provincial (particularly Saskatchewan) and federal environmental regulations and guidelines

Education and Experience
Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar discipline or Diploma in applicable environmental discipline.
A minimum of 13 years of applicable experience in conducting field programs for environmental site assessment and/or remediation projects.
Prior experience in an engineering or consulting environment is an asset.
This position will involve a majority of office work, with some opportunity to go into the field, when warranted. Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods. Fieldwork may include travel (road or air) and exposure to the elements including inclement weather. Evening and weekend work may be required. Ability to lift and move items and equipment up to 50 lbs.

**What you will do at WSP**

Prepare and adhere to site-specific health and safety plans to mitigate or eliminate risks to you, WSP's clients, employees, and the public;
Identify and report potential and existing site hazards, near loss incidents and loss incidents.
Our Ottawa clients provide opportunities to work globally, work with emerging contaminants and work on projects small to large. We work for municipal, provincial and federal clients and with industry leads in the contaminated sites business.
You'll be involved with managing and executing projects primarily related to our Site Assessment and Remediation services, including Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs and/or site remediation to support Risk Assessments and Record of Site Conditions (Ontario Regulation 153/04), as well as for general due diligence purposes. With the recent implementation of Ontario Regulation 406/19 (On-Site and Excess Soil Management).
_You will be expected to supervise and coach junior colleagues in their daily work, and engage independently with clients and contractors; with the support and direction of the Team Lead and other senior team members._
**In the office** , You will develop work programs, conceptual site models and prepare proposals. You will act as a point of contact for clients, with emphasis on building long-term relationships. You will manage projects from the proposal stage through to delivery and project close-out, including schedule and budget control, client communication and invoicing support.

You will also be responsible for preparation of project documentation (e.g., health and safety and other planning documentation) and coordination of subcontractors and equipment for field programs.
You will also carry out review of data interpretation and reporting deliverables (as prepared by more junior staff), you will carry out record reviews (historical data and regulatory information), assist with data tabulation and interpretation of laboratory reports, report preparation and other office assignments.
You will have an opportunity to participate with senior staff in client engagement, business development and long-term business strategies. Formal mentoring is part of our team. You will have access to senior mentors and training to ensure your growth at WSP. In turn, you are expected to mentor junior to intermediate staff, help them grow and contribute to our success.
**In the field** , your work will include, but may not be limited to, supervision and training of more junior staff with their soil logging and sampling, surveying, groundwater and surface water sampling, stream flow measurements, soil vapour sampling and indoor air sampling. You may, on occasion, be called upon to carry out such field tasks on an as needed basis.

What you will bring to WSP
Have a bachelor or post-graduate degree in environmental sciences or engineering ( _post-graduate degree is preferred but not mandatory_ ) _;_
Are eligible to be registered as a "Qualified Person (QP)" with appropriate professional certification (P.Eng., P.Geo) _(strong candidates who are not eligible may also be considered);_
Have at least 5 to 7 years of relevant working experience in the field of environmental site assessment (Phase I ESA, Phase II ESA, Record of Site Conditions), with strong knowledge of relevant regulations (O.Reg. 153/04, O.Reg. 406/19);
Have excellent communication skills (verbal, written), strong attention to detail and a passion for health and safety;
Have a valid driver's license, and access to a vehicle for light duty projects within the area (reimbursable)

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine R&D is recruiting for a Manager, Global Clinical Operations Learning and Training. This position is a hybrid role and will be located in Toronto, Canada.
The Clinical Trial Learning and Training (CTLT) organization develops and implements training strategies and designs for clinical trial training and Global Clinical Operations (GCO) functional role-based global onboarding programs. This includes determining training needs, developing, and implementing strategic learning initiatives, and leveraging resources to deploy the training plan. CTLT delivers impactful learning and training programs that address gaps and build capabilities to meet future needs while ensuring compliance with relevant Regulations, Standards, and Good Clinical Practice. The organization aims to enhance the effectiveness of learning for those conducting clinical trial activities, improve site engagement/satisfaction and enhance preparedness of GCO roles that support portfolio services.
The Manager, GCO Learning and Training will be responsible for instructional design and training delivery of role-based training programs across relevant GCO roles and functions. Activities will include development of training content, facilitation and/or delivery of training, knowledge management, serving as a training point of contact, and collaborating with key stakeholders. This individual will consult with management, employees, and departments to identify training needs and achieve the result of an effective training solution. Implement measurement methods for evaluating training effectiveness against the needs of the business. Suggest improvements to training events, programs, and materials to improve effectiveness and meet evolving needs of the business. Review summary of training program assessment data, participant attendance reports and submit to management with recommendations.
Principal Responsibilities:
Training and Knowledge Management:
+ Understands intended training roles and skills to connect training content and approaches to delivery as part of onboarding and development activities of trainees.
+ Support the design, development, deployment, and administration of training programs that support internal business objectives.
+ Keep abreast of training and development research, new materials, methodologies and utilize new/creative training modalities for delivery of training.

Qualifications:

+ Knowledge of clinical research activities is required.
+ Knowledge of the overall drug development process is preferred.

+ Knowledge of current instructional theories and principles applicable to both online and instructor-led learning programs is required.
